Day 1
Your journey begins this evening with an overnight flight with Colombo.
Day 2
This morning / afternoon you will arrive into Colombo, where you will be met by your private chauffeur guide and car. You will be taken directly north to Kalpitya, an idyllic coastal location to the north of Colombo. This journey normally takes approximately 3.5 hrs. Here you can simply relax and unwind on the beach.
Day 3
Today you may wish to go Dolphin Watching off the coast, or just simply relax on the beach or by the pool.
Day 4
Your driver will take you north to Sigiriya today, visiting The Golden Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, en route. Without stops this journey should take around 4 hours.
Day 5
Enjoy a guided tour of Sigiriya this morning, a ruined ancient capital that sits atop a gigantic rock. Afterwards enjoy an exciting afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya National Park. This area is home to hundreds of wild elephant, arguably the densest population in Asia.
Day 6
Enjoy a tour of the magnificent and ancient city of Polonnaurwa, another UNESCO World Heritage site, this morning before heading east to Pasikudah. This area of idyllic coastline is peaceful and untouched. Take a look at some of our accommodation options.
Day 7-9
Enjoy these days relaxing on the beach.
Day 10
Today your chauffeur driver will bring you back in land to Kandy, Sri Lanka's cultural centre and a town surrounded by verdant green hills. The journey from Passikudah to Kandy should take around 5 hours so enjoy some rest before heading out in the evening for a traditional Kandyan dance Performance, with a visit to The Temple of The Tooth to see the evening puja ceremony.
Day 11
This morning you will enjoy a tour around Kandy along with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens this afternoon. The gardens are incredibly impressive and historic with a fantastic display or orchids.
Day 12
Today you will be driven back to Colombo, a journey that should take around 3.5 hours. Here you can enjoy your final evening at your own leisure. Alternatively you might like to enjoy an excursion in Colombo this afternoon, take a look at some of the options here.
Day 13
Today you will be driven to the airport for your flight home after the most wonderful trip.

Perfect for history enthusiasts and beach lovers, this 13-day adventure explores four UNESCO World Heritage sites and two unspoiled Sri Lankan beaches. The trip starts with Palagama Beach, to the north of Colombo. This relaxed barefoot location is the perfect place to unwind after a long flight! The trip continues to the ‘Cultural Triangle’ area, home to Sri Lanka’s ancient cities. Here you’ll find remnants of ancient civilisations atop giant rocks, temples buried within caves and even roaming elephants. The trip then heads to Sri Lanka’s east coast, an untouched region famed for wide and long pristine beaches. After some tome relaxing here, the journey comes inland to Kandy, a gloriously verdant area home to the Temple of the Tooth, before finally ending in Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo.
